I-Grow Venture Organises Excel Training for Accountants in the Gambia

I-Grow Venture Ltd, a Gambian based consultancy and training firm conducted 3 days Excel course for accountants at Kairaba Beach Hotel.

The training ran between 21st to 23rd August 2019 and was facilitated by Ebrima Sawaneh and Salifu Bah. There were 12 participants from the financial services sector, state-owned enterprises and central government.

According to Salifu Bah, the training coordinator, the aim of I-Grow is to finance professional to acquire important skills such as data analysis, presentation and reporting. Excel is the most common and reasonably low application used by accountants to perform analysis and reporting.

Mustapha Njie, the CEO of TAF Africa was the guest speaker of the event. Mr Njie discussed how management information requirement from the CEO’s point of view. He lamented on how the information from his finance supports his discussion making.

Alieu Jobe, the Finance Director of Gambia National Petroleum Company gave the closing remark to the participants on the last day. He advised the trainees to make good use of what they learned from the 3-days training through continues practice. Mr Jobe also encouraged the participants to put personal development on the top of their agenda as the accounting profession continues to change along with the global business environment.

Alieu also presented a certificate of participation to each trainee.
